Overview
Closets Las Vegas is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in cabinetry or closet design who can take ownership of projects from concept to production.
You’ll be responsible for designing functional, high-quality custom storage solutions, including closets, cabinets, pantries, and garage systems. This position works closely with sales, clients, and production to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design custom closets, cabinets, pantries, and garage systems using Mozaik
- Interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and client specifications
- Produce detailed shop drawings, cut lists, and parts lists for manufacturing
- Ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and aligned with production capabilities
- Collaborate with sales team to refine layouts and meet client needs
- Coordinate with production to resolve design or build challenges
- Review and revise designs as needed throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in cabinet, closet, or millwork design
- Proficiency in Mozaik Cabinet Software (or similar cabinetry design software)
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction, materials, and hardware
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and measurements
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have (Preferred)
- Experience working with custom manufacturing or CNC environments
- Knowledge of Mozaik or other industry-specific tools
- Background in interior design, drafting, or architecture
- Experience with design presentations
