CAD Draftsman

Job Summary

Emirates Exhibition Services is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman – Joinery (Exhibition Stands) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed technical drawings for custom exhibition stands, joinery, and bespoke furniture. This role requires close coordination with designers, project managers, and the production team to ensure drawings are technically sound, buildable, and aligned with exhibition project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for exhibition stands, joinery, and custom furniture using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Translate design concepts, sketches, and specifications into precise technical drawings suitable for production and site execution.
• Coordinate with designers and project managers to finalize drawings for approval and fabrication.
• Ensure drawings comply with technical standards, dimensions, material specifications, and exhibition build requirements.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from clients, designers, production teams, or site conditions.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and approvals.
• Provide technical clarifications and drawing support to the production and installation teams during fabrication and on-site execution.
• Support project planning by assisting with accurate drawings and basic material take-offs or estimations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Draftsman in exhibition stands, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or fit-out works.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant CAD drafting software.
• Strong understanding of exhibition stand construction, joinery detailing, materials, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to read, interpret, and produce detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Minimum Diploma in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Skills (Advantage)

• Prior experience in exhibition, events, or temporary structure projects.
• Familiarity with UAE exhibition regulations, venue guidelines, and production practices.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
