Job Description – CAD Incharge (Garment Industry)
Position: CAD Incharge
Department: Sampling / Pattern Making / Technical
Industry: Garment Manufacturing (Woven )
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire CAD department and ensure smooth workflow.
- Create, modify, and grade patterns using CAD software (Optitex).
- Develop accurate marker planning to achieve maximum fabric utilization.
- Ensure pattern accuracy, measurements, and fit as per buyer tech packs.
- Coordinate with sampling, merchandising, and production teams for pattern approvals.
- Review buyer comments and update patterns accordingly.
- Maintain pattern library, version control, and documentation.
- Handle digitizing of patterns and ensure seamless transfer between systems.
- Conduct pattern checking, sample fitting, and corrections before sending to bulk.
- Train and guide CAD operators and junior pattern makers.
- Ensure all CAD files are backed up and properly organized.
- Work with the technical team to resolve fit issues and production challenges.
- Support production with cutting markers and related technical requirements.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of pattern making & garment construction.
- Expertise in CAD software (Optitex).
- Good understanding of fit, grading rules, and marker efficiency.
- Ability to interpret buyer tech packs, spec sheets, and construction details.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Experience Required:
- 10+ years in CAD / Pattern Making (depending on job level).
- Experience in woven garments.
Education:
- Diploma / Degree in Fashion Technology, Textile Technology, Garment Technology, or Pattern Making preferred.
- CAD software certification is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
