Warm, first‑time parents in a quiet Forest Hill home are seeking a calm, experienced nanny to care for their baby boy (infant). The parents are communicative and value a collaborative partnership with a caregiver who brings gentle expertise. The family is interested in Montessori principles. Note: the home has stairs and the neighborhood is hilly.

Role overview:

This is a childcare‑focused position centered on attentive infant care: soothing, feeding, sleep support, and age‑appropriate activities such as tummy time, sensory play, and early language stimulation. The family is looking for a caregiver who can create a predictable, nurturing routine and offer thoughtful guidance as the baby grows.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide attentive, loving daily care for an infant (feeding, soothing, nap support)

- Implement developmentally appropriate activities and routines (tummy time, sensory play, language stimulation)

- Monitor baby’s wellbeing and communicate observations to parents

- Maintain a clean, organized childcare space and manage simple infant‑related tasks

- Walk in the neighborhood with a stroller as needed (hills)

Ideal candidate

The family is seeking a true childcare professional who is warm, patient, and collaborative. Ideal qualifications include:

- Recent, hands‑on experience caring for infants (ideally 8+ years working as a nanny)

- Strong knowledge of infant development and the ability to suggest and implement age‑appropriate routines and activities

- Excellent communication skills—clear, proactive, and kind in sharing observations and suggestions

- Calm, patient, and skilled at soothing and engaging a very young baby

- Physically able to walk hills with a stroller and navigate stairs in the home

- Highly organized, reliable, and able to make sound independent decisions

Requirements:

- Fluent in English

- Infant CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Current vaccinations preferred (including COVID‑19)

- Excellent references, successful criminal background check, and enrollment in California TrustLine
