1. Camp Administration

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the labor camp(s) including accommodation, housekeeping, catering, maintenance, and waste management.
  • Maintain accurate records of camp occupancy, room allocations, and personnel movements (check-in/check-out).
  • Coordinate with HR and site management for the arrival and departure of employees.
  • Ensure company policies, camp rules, and regulations are implemented and followed by all camp residents.

2. Facility Management

  • Supervise cleaning, pest control, and laundry services to maintain hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and repair of camp facilities, including utilities, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Monitor the water, fuel, and power supply systems to ensure consistent availability.

3. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Enforce strict hygiene and safety standards in accommodation, kitchen, and dining areas.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential hazards or non-compliance.
  • Support emergency response plans, including fire drills, first aid, and evacuation procedures.

4. Staff Supervision & Coordination

  • Supervise camp support staff (cleaners, cooks, maintenance personnel, security guards, etc.).
  • Plan and organize duty schedules, rotations, and performance monitoring.
  • Conduct regular meetings with camp staff to address operational issues and improvements.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on camp occupancy, maintenance activities, and expenses.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of camp assets, furniture, and equipment.
  • Report any incidents, damages, or disciplinary issues to management promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience as a Camp Boss in the construction or road contracting industry.
  • Experience managing large labor camps (300+ residents preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of camp maintenance, catering, hygiene, and safety procedures.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word, email reporting).
  • Familiarity with local labor laws and municipality regulations.
