JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Camp Boss is responsible for the overall management, administration, and smooth operation of the staff accommodation camp, ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for all residents. This role requires strong leadership, logistical planning, compliance management, and exceptional interpersonal skills to oversee camp facilities, staff welfare, and daily operations in alignment with company policies and local regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Camp Operations & Facility Management

Oversee daily camp operations including accommodation, catering, housekeeping, laundry, recreation, and maintenance.

Ensure all camp facilities (rooms, kitchens, dining halls, gyms, clinics, etc.) are fully operational, clean, and well-maintained.

Manage camp inventory, supplies, and equipment.

Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs, pest control, and preventive maintenance.

Implement and monitor waste management and environmental cleanliness protocols.

2. Health, Safety & Security

Ensure full compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and local regulations.

Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and emergency drills.

Liaise with security personnel to maintain camp safety and access control.

Oversee clinic operations and medical emergency protocols.

Ensure food safety standards are maintained in kitchen and dining areas.

3. Staff Welfare & Administration

Act as the primary point of contact for all camp residents regarding accommodation issues, complaints, and welfare matters.

Promote a positive and respectful camp culture.

Organize recreational activities and welfare programs.

Manage room allocations, transfers, and check-in/check-out procedures.

Handle grievances and resolve conflicts among residents.

4. Vendor & Contract Management

Manage contracts with catering, cleaning, laundry, security, and maintenance service providers.

Monitor vendor performance, SLA compliance, and quality of service.

Prepare and control the camp operational budget.

Process invoices and ensure cost-effective procurement of supplies.

5. Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate records of camp occupancy, incidents, inspections, and maintenance logs.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management.

Ensure compliance with company policies, camp rules, and local labor/camp regulations.

Coordinate with HR and PRO for visa, accommodation, and occupancy-related documentation.

6. Leadership & Team Management

Supervise camp support staff (supervisors, housekeepers, cooks, etc.).

Conduct training, performance reviews, and team meetings.

Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and service excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in camp management, facilities management, or hospitality operations, with at least 5 years in a senior supervisory role in GCC/Middle East.

Industry Background: Construction, Oil & Gas, Mining, or Large-Scale Industrial Projects preferred.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent organizational and logistical planning abilities

Proficient in budget management and cost control

Knowledge of HSE standards and local camp regulations

Effective communication and conflict resolution skills

Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly

Computer literacy (MS Office, camp management software)

Fluency in English (Arabic language is a plus)

CERTIFICATIONS (PREFERRED)

NEBOSH / IOSH Certification

Food Safety & Hygiene Certification

First Aid & Fire Safety Training

Relevant HSE or Facilities Management Certifications

WORKING CONDITIONS

Based on-site in staff accommodation camp.

May require working outside normal hours, including weekends and holidays.

Must be available for emergency call-outs.

May involve walking, standing, and inspecting camp facilities regularly.
