Canine Handler

Delighted Pets is a 5-star canine concierge service located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. We're looking for professional dog lovers to join our growing team!

Schedule Requirements:

• Walks are primarily Monday - Friday from 7am-6:00pm (flexible hourly time blocks) and a few hours on weekends, if needed.
• It is not necessary to be strictly available for the entirety of 7am-6:00pm. If you are available for blocks of time, that would work as well.
• Applicants MUST be consistently available; schedules are carefully designed for efficiency. The more you walk, the more you get paid!
• 90% of our dog walks are repeating dog walks, meaning you will establish a relationship with and walk the same dogs every day.

Job Requirements:

• A strong love of and respect for dogs.
• Professional experience working with dogs and/or personally owned a dog.
• Ability to work outside in all weather (we have a mobile office to warm up in).
• Ability to accommodate at least 6-8 walks a day, with occasional weekend walks.
• RELIABLE - ability to establish a recurring weekly schedule with consistent punctuality.
• Minimum of 6 month commitment, as to not disturb our client’s schedules or negatively impact the dogs by leaving.
• Contract agreement - we are looking for long term team members.
• Professionalism is key! We thrive on excellent customer service and communication.
• Clean appearance.

Advantage for applications who:

• Know pet CPR
• Have experience in training
• Volunteer in animal shelters
• Worked in doggy day care or vet’s office
• Worked as a dog walker or pet sitter previously
• Have a valid driver's license
• Live in the city
