Dog Walker - Part-time/Full-time

COMPENSATION:

You will be paid per service instead of by the hour. This is an exciting opportunity because your income can grow over time as you take on more clients/walks.

*Two walks in a single hour can net you $30 - $44 for the hour. Our pay-per-service compensation plan will be explained in greater detail during the onboarding process.

**New team members will have fewer walks in the first few weeks. Additional walks will be added to your schedule as a route is established.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Someone who has solid availability Mon - Fri, between 8am - 3pm (NO exceptions)
• Anyone who wants to work part-time, walking dogs a few hours per day with the opportunity to grow within the company and take on a full-time schedule.
• Anyone who has previously worked with an on-demand dog walking/sitting app and is seeking steady work as a professional dog walker.
• Loves spending time with dogs of all sizes and breeds.
• Honest, trustworthy, enthusiastic, dependable individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely walk dogs throughout the city without distractions
• Provide our clients with world-class customer service
• Adhere to the client's specific pet care instructions
• Create a safe and positive experience for our clients and their dogs
• Reinforce client's training methods and techniques
• Provide detailed updates after each walk
• Communicate with staff via messaging and photographs
• Contribute to the overall goals of the team -- MUST be a team player
• Arrive at each client on-time and ready for work

REQUIREMENTS:

• 18 years and older
• Legally permitted to work in the US
• Valid State ID or Driver's License
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of professional dog walking experience is a plus
• Patience to work with puppies, seniors, and dogs with special needs
• Solid availability Mon - Fri, between 8am - 3pm (NO exceptions)
• Are able to commit to at least 6 months of working with Milo
• Strong customer service skills
• Common sense and the ability to think on your feet
• Able to effectively communicate with dog owners and address their needs
• The ability to work independently without direct supervision
• You must be able to navigate the city via public transportation
• You must have a good sense of direction
• Excellent time management skills
• You can lift at least 40 lbs
• Familiarity with various dog breeds and their specific needs
• Comfortable walking up to three dogs at the same time
• You must have a smartphone with a data plan
• The ability to work weekends and major holidays (as needed)
