Job Summary**

The Cans Front End Mechanic-1 is responsible for the basic maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of front-end machinery used in the can manufacturing process, ensuring efficient and quality production. -

Job Responsibilities**

• Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on can manufacturing front-end equipment, including presses, trimmers, and flangers, according to established schedules and procedures.
• Assist senior mechanics in the diagnosis and repair of mechanical and electrical malfunctions in production machinery.
• Carry out basic adjustments and setups of equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Lubricate machinery and replace worn-out parts such as bearings, belts, and seals.
• Monitor equipment during operation to identify potential issues and report abnormalities to supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company regulations.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used accurately.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge of new equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.

Job Qualifications**

• High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical or industrial maintenance is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in can-making or similar high-speed production machinery.
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in using common hand and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by production schedules.
