Cardiac Anaesthesiologist

Roles & Responsibilities:

A cardiac anesthesiologist is a highly specialized doctor focusing on anesthesia for heart and vascular surgeries, managing patients' vital functions before, during (including cardiopulmonary bypass), and after procedures like CABG, valve repair, or transplants, requiring deep knowledge of heart physiology, hemodynamic monitoring (like TEE), and critical care, often extending to cardiothoracic ICUs. Key Responsibilities & Skills

  • Perioperative Care: Managing patients before surgery (assessment), during (anesthesia, life support), and after (postoperative care).
  • Complex Procedures: Administering anesthesia for coronary bypass, valve surgeries, congenital heart defect repairs, heart transplants, and thoracic/vascular operations.
  • Advanced Monitoring: Expertise in advanced techniques like Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) for real-time heart imaging.
  • Hemodynamic Management: Maintaining stable blood pressure and circulation during major shifts in heart function, often involving cardiopulmonary bypass (heart-lung machine).
  • Critical Care: Managing patients in the Cardiothoracic ICU, including ECMO or ventilation for complex cases.
  • Pain Management: Providing effective pain relief strategies post-surgery.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
