Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical care in the field of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, including pre-operative evaluation, surgical intervention, and post-operative management.
- Perform cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures independently and collaboratively, in accordance with established clinical protocols and best practices.
- Participate actively in emergency and elective surgeries, including on-call duties as per hospital policy.
- Work closely with cardiologists, anesthetists, intensivists, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise and guide junior doctors, residents, and paramedical staff where applicable.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
- Adhere to hospital policies, NABH standards, ethical guidelines, and statutory regulations.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings.
- Engage in patient education and counseling regarding surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and follow-up care.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS with MS/DNB (General Surgery) and M.Ch/DNB (Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery) from a recognized institution.
- Valid Medical Council registration.
- Minimum 4-5 years of post-qualification experience as a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeon.
- Proven expertise in managing complex cardiac and thoracic surgical cases.
