CARDIOLOGIST- NAURU DEPLOYMENT

CARDIOLOGIST

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cardiologist to join our healthcare team on Nauru Island. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential cardiovascular care to the local population, while working in a collaborative, resourceful, and community-oriented healthcare environment.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with cardiovascular conditions, as well as supporting public health initiatives to improve cardiac health awareness and prevention.

Key Responsibilities

⦁ Conduct patient assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning for a wide range of cardiovascular conditions.

⦁ Perform and interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiac procedures.

⦁ Manage both outpatient and inpatient cardiac cases.

⦁ Collaborate with general practitioners, nurses, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

⦁ Participate in public health campaigns and education related to cardiovascular wellness.

⦁ Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with local regulations.

⦁ Provide training and mentorship to local medical staff where applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements

⦁ Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Cardiology.

⦁ Valid medical license.

⦁ Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience.

⦁ Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.

⦁ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

⦁ Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to work in a small island community.
