Career Nanny

We are seeking of experienced career nanny to support a warm and active family with an engaging and easy-going 8-year-old girl. This is a long-term opportunity (5–7+ years) for a nanny who values building meaningful relationships and providing consistent, high-quality care.

Both parents work in healthcare with rotating schedules, requiring a nanny who is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable with a dynamic workweek that is planned well in advance. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of structure and warmth, supporting the child’s independence, academic routines, and love of outdoor activities while maintaining a calm and organized home environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, engaged care for one school-aged child
• Manage daily routines including school drop-off/pick-up and after-school care
• Support homework, reading, and weekly academic commitments (including Kumon)
• Plan and facilitate enriching activities, playdates, and outdoor time
• Prepare meals and snacks for the child (breakfast, after-school, occasional dinner)
• Maintain organization of the child’s spaces and clean up after daily activities
• Transport to and from school, activities, and outings (reliable personal vehicle required)
• Provide occasional overnight care as needed due to parents’ work schedules
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with parents

Requirements

• Career nanny with strong experience supporting school-aged children
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organized
• Flexible and adaptable to a rotating (but pre-planned) schedule
• Warm, patient, and engaging with the ability to build a trusting relationship
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow established routines
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
• Non-smoker / non-vaper
• T-dap vaccination required

Additional Information

• Both parents work outside of the home with early start times (~6:30 AM departures)
• Weekly schedules are provided in advance with minimal changes once confirmed
• Occasional overnight care may be needed due to physician call schedules
• Family has a small, friendly toy poodle in the home
• Light household duties are limited to child-related care and maintaining tidy shared spaces
• No travel required

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
