Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including home care, assisted living, and memory care. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events
• Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies

Skills

• Proficiency in first aid and CPR techniques
• Experience working in group homes or nursing homes
• Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in behavior or health
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs
• Familiarity with home health care practices and hospice care principles
• Experience in cooking and meal preparation tailored to individual dietary requirements
• Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
• Compassionate approach towards working with seniors and individuals with disabilities, including autism

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
