Caregiver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Administer medication as prescribed, following HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality and safety
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning
• Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized care strategies
• Utilize equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury during heavy lifting tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces
• Follow individualized care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals
• Document patient observations accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being in a home or community setting

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or long-term care environments preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance are a plus
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease is highly desirable
• Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely using proper techniques or assistive devices like Hoyer lifts
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
