Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those requiring home care, dementia care, and memory care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of resident rights and have experience in caregiving or direct support within a group home or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to resident rights and preferences.
• Support clients with mobility and physical tasks, ensuring safety at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
• Document daily activities and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.

Experience

• Prior experience in home care, caregiving, or direct support is preferred.
• Familiarity with dementia care practices and memory care techniques is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a group home setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of medication administration protocols and resident rights is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• A compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in need.
