Dog Walker

Innovo Living Hyde Park is looking for a dedicated animal lover to enhance our residents’ living experiences by providing pet care services for their beloved furriers. We're a luxury-based apartment community, located in South Tampa, with a predominant presence in Hyde Park comprised of 21 boutique locations all within a 2-mile radius of each other. We are excited to hire an individual who has a passion for animals, who is detail oriented, comfortable working autonomously, has strong organizational and communication skills, and one who understands what it means to provide luxury services. Job Description / Requirements:

• Must live within 5 miles of 33606 zip code
• Must be familiar with South Tampa (Hyde Park Specifically)
• Must LOVE animals
• Must have experience with animals/pets
• Must have reliable transportation and be a safe driver
• Must be able to commit to weekday & some weekend events
• Must be available on select holidays
• Must have smartphone with camera to leave client updates
• Must be willing to work outside in all temperatures and various weather conditions. Yes, rain too!
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Walk several dogs at once; must be able to handle multiple dogs of varying height and weight.
• Walking - Take dogs on scheduled walks along predetermined routes while following the owner's leash or harness requirements
• Safety - Ensure the safety of all dogs in your care, including watching for traffic and preventing dogs from fighting.
• Knowledge of animal restraint techniques
• Maintain control of dogs during walks to prevent injury or incidents
• Behavior - Observe dogs' behavior and communicate any concerns to the owner or your supervisor
• Clean up - Pick up after dogs during walks and ensure they have fresh water and treats as needed during walks
• Communication - Build positive relationships with pet owners, learn their preferred schedules, and provide updates on the dogs' well-being
