The Carpenter is responsible for the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures within the facility. This role supports both the structural integrity and visual appearance of the premises through high-quality carpentry work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on existing carpentry structures, identifying and resolving damage or wear.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, including repairs to doors, windows, built-in wardrobes, and cabinets.
  • Construct, install, and modify carpentry works such as gypsum partitions, ceilings, cabinets, and wooden fixtures.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape materials to ensure precise installation and high-quality workmanship.
  • Complete finishing works including trim, molding, and decorative elements to enhance the facility’s aesthetic appeal.
  • Ensure all carpentry work meets approved quality, safety, and design standards.
  • Coordinate with other facility management and maintenance teams to support overall operational needs.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding job progress, timelines, and potential issues.
  • Estimate required materials and tools for assigned tasks and manage resources efficiently to reduce waste and control costs.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures, using appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of carpentry work, including maintenance, repairs, installations, and inspections.
  • Customize furniture, cabinets, and wooden fittings based on specific facility requirements.
