Carpenter Foremanp-Infrastructure

Responsibilities include supervising carpentry and formwork activities on-site, ensuring proper formwork, shuttering, and finishing, and managing all carpentry work. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of all kinds of carpenter work, knowledge of all kinds of tools and machines used in carpenter work, and the ability to read and understand all furniture and fit-out drawings. They should also be capable of taking measurements on-site and distributing tasks effectively.

  • Supervising carpentry teams: Overseeing the work of carpenters to ensure craftsmanship aligns with project specifications.
  • Scheduling management: Organizing and prioritizing daily tasks to keep construction phases on track and deadlines met.
  • Safety compliance: Enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain a secure work environment.
  • Interpreting blueprints: Reading blueprints and construction drawings accurately to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
  • Team management: Leading skilled carpentry teams, ensuring all structural work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Resource allocation: Coordinating daily activities to maintain project schedules and optimize resource use.
  • Quality control: Performing ongoing quality control inspections of all carpentry work to ensure it meets building codes and project standards.
  • Communication: Communicating directly with project managers and subcontractors to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of OSHA standards and local safety laws to enforce proper procedures on site.
  • Safety training: Conducting regular safety briefings and training sessions for carpentry teams to minimize workplace hazards and promote a culture of safety. 4
