Carpenter / Laborer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated general carpenterto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry and construction tasks, demonstrating proficiency in both rough and finish carpentry and various other skills a plus. This role requires hands-on experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. Must have reliable transportation and valid drivers license. Having your own tools is a plus but not a requirement.

Duties

• Perform construction estimating to determine project costs and materials needed.
• Execute trim carpentry and frame carpentry tasks with precision.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various projects.
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
• Engage in concrete forming, plastering, and fabrication as necessary.
• Install rebar for structural support in concrete projects.
• Conduct trim, siding, and flooring installation tasks as required.
• Carry out cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture installation with attention to detail.
• Participate in water damage restoration efforts when needed.
• Assist with maintenance person tasks including plumbing, electrical work, masonry, and remodeling projects.
• Execute construction painting and caulking duties to ensure a finished look.
• Collaborate with team members on-site to ensure safety protocols are followed while performing heavy lifting tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on carpentry.
• Familiarity with various carpentry techniques including woodworking, metal stud framing, tile laying, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
• Previous experience in the restoration industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety practices on construction sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
