Job Summary
The Carpet Warehouse Officer is responsible for the proper receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of carpets and rugs. The role ensures accurate inventory control, protection of carpet quality, and smooth coordination with sales, logistics, and procurement teams to support showroom and customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Carpet Handling
- Receive carpets and rugs from suppliers and verify quantities, sizes, designs, and quality.
- Inspect carpets for damages, stains, moisture, or manufacturing defects upon arrival.
- Ensure proper rolling, wrapping, labeling, and stacking of carpets to prevent damage.
- Maintain correct storage conditions to protect carpets from dust, humidity, sunlight, and pests.
- Supervise loading and unloading to avoid creasing, tearing, or deformation.
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate stock records by design, size, color, material, and origin.
- Update inventory in ERP or stock management systems.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Dispatch & Delivery
- Prepare carpets for showroom transfer, customer delivery, or export shipments.
- Ensure correct labeling, packaging, and documentation for each dispatch.
- Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams for timely deliveries.
- Verify delivery notes and customer acknowledgment.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare GRNs, delivery notes, stock transfer notes, and damage reports.
- Maintain organized records of incoming and outgoing carpets.
- Support management with inventory and slow-moving stock reports.
Quality Control
- Ensure carpets are stored and handled according to quality standards.
- Report damaged, faded, or defective items immediately.
- Coordinate with procurement or suppliers regarding claims and replacements.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of carpet storage areas.
- Ensure safe lifting and handling practices.
- Follow warehouse safety rules and company policies.
Coordination & Support
- Coordinate closely with sales and showroom teams for stock availability.
- Assist in showroom stock movement for displays and exhibitions.
- Support audits and stock inspections.

- Strong knowledge of carpet and rug handling procedures.
- Attention to detail in size, design, and quality verification.
- Basic computer skills (ERP, Excel, inventory systems).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stock variations.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in carpet, rug, textile, or home furnishing warehouses.
- UAE experience is an advantage.
- Forklift/manual handling experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, roll, and move carpets of varying sizes and weights.
- Willingness to work overtime during peak seasons or exhibitions.
