Intensive Case Manager

Definition of Work: This is a professional community corrections position involving the implementation of intensive case management services to a population of high risk / high need clients in the criminal justice system.

Examples of Work Performed:

  • Conduct Initial Assessments for new clients, including LS/CMI
  • Provide linkage and referral services to client population
  • Provide intensive case management services to client population
  • Update LS/CMI assessments for client population every six months
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups
  • Conduct urine drug screens
  • Managing urine specimens and oral swabs for the SRDRC
  • Organize and conduct Treatment Plan Meetings and Treatment Plan Updates.
  • Enter data into the WVOCM and the WVCCIS
  • Maintain an active working relationship with the Probation Department, Home Confinement, Department of Health and Human Resources, and the Drug Court Coordinator

Desirable Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

  • Knowledge of office practices and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various aspects of the court system
  • Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions
  • Strong social skills
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to communicate with various community entities
  • Ability to maintain records and make oral and written reports
  • Ability to effective use Microsoft Office

Required Education:

Relevant Bachelor’s degree; one involving course-work equivalent to a major whose subject matter of whom is directly applicable to community corrections work (for example, counseling, criminal justice, psychology, and social work).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,170.00 per year
