Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Respond to complex customer inquiries and resolve escalated customer issues with urgency.
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and build loyalty.
  • Assist customers with payment-related queries, including redemption of credit card points and gift vouchers.

Cash Management:

  • Perform general cashiering duties such as scanning items, collecting payments, verifying payment methods, and creating customer accounts as needed.
  • Accept various payment methods, including cash, checks, credit cards, and wire transfers, and process transactions according to company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate cash handling by balancing cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, ensuring nil variance.
  • Control and distribute startup money, loose change, and additional cash requirements during operations.
  • Arrange daily cash deposits by verifying cash sales amounts and preparing deposit slips for banks.
  • Perform cash counting in the presence of transparency and address any shortages or discrepancies with immediate adjustments.

Financial Control:

  • Prepare and reconcile terminal slips from card payment machines and ensure adherence to cash pickup policies.
  • Manage and report foreign currency transactions, including exchange with money changers as per company policies.
  • Handle manual invoices during system issues or product unavailability and ensure timely updates in the system.

Operational Tasks:

  • Ensure the register/counter areas are neat and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Prepare Z-out (end-of-shift) reports and secure cashier approval from the Store Manager.
  • Coordinate with IT for troubleshooting POS or communication issues and resolve pending manual invoices.
  • Handle the issuance of receipts for advance payments or manual invoices as required.
