We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently, providing excellent service, and maintaining an organized checkout area. The role requires accuracy in processing payments, assisting customers with inquiries, and supporting daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to process sales transactions accurately.
  • Calculate the total cost of products or services and receive payments using cash, cards, or other payment methods.
  • Provide accurate change when required and maintain sufficient cash denominations in the register.
  • Balance and reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts at the end of shifts.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, and store policies.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process layaways, product returns, and exchanges according to company procedures.
  • Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Scan and bag purchased items accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with stocking shelves and rotating merchandise when needed.
  • Stay updated on current promotions, advertisements, and product information.
  • Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to management.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store sales goals.

Requirements:

  • Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of POS systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic math and cash handling skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months

  • Muscat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
