Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including stocking shelves and merchandising products
• Upsell items by suggesting complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock checks
• Ensure compliance with store policies on cash handling and customer service standards

Qualifications

• Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for accurate cash handling
• Strong communication skills with the ability to assist diverse customers effectively
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our multicultural customer base better
• Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising techniques, and product demos is beneficial
