Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is essential in maintaining smooth store operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient sales processing and effective communication.

Duties

• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately
• Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity
• Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
• Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure proper merchandising at registers
• Stock shelves and assist with inventory management as needed
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
• Support stock replenishment and stocking tasks to keep the store well-organized

Experience

• Previous cashier or retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or retail environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Strong communication skills
• Basic math skills for retail math, making change, and handling transactions accurately
• Knowledge of upselling techniques and customer service best practice
