Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about merchandise to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented
• Conduct upselling by recommending additional items or promotions to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage inventory by performing stock checks, restocking shelves, and participating in inventory counts
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Support grocery store operations by ensuring cleanliness, safety standards, and efficient checkout processes
• Demonstrate supervising experience by guiding new team members and supporting team goals when needed

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases more effectively
• Experience in retail sales, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store environments is highly desirable
• Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash register operations and inventory management
• Customer service excellence with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
• Demonstrated upselling skills to increase sales while maintaining customer satisfaction
• Supervising experience is advantageous for supporting team leadership roles
• Knowledge of retail math principles for balancing registers and managing stock levels

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
