Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments with confidence and precision.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and guiding them through their purchase decisions.
- Conduct engaging product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customers to explore new items and increase sales opportunities.
- Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented to maximize sales potential.
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves efficiently and conducting inventory checks to maintain product availability.
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times.
- Support supervising team members when needed by helping with training or overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth store functioning.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions.
- Previous supervising experience is a plus for guiding team members and maintaining store standards.
- Ability to perform retail math confidently for pricing, discounts, and inventory management.
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual settings to connect effectively with diverse customers.
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is preferred for understanding customer needs quickly.
- Excellent phone etiquette for professional remote assistance or inquiries.
- Demonstrated upselling skills to promote products effectively while maintaining a positive customer experience.
