Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement category strategies that align with company objectives and market trends.
  • Analyze market data, consumer insights, and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities and category development areas.

Market and Consumer Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to understand consumer behavior, preferences, and emerging trends.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend category enhancements and new product introductions.

Sales and Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and analyze sales performance, category profitability, and inventory levels.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and actionable recommendations to management.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, optimize product assortment, and manage promotional activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure effective category management.

Product Development and Innovation:

  • Work with the product development team to identify and launch new products that align with category strategies.
  • Evaluate product performance and make recommendations for improvements or adjustments.

Promotional Planning:

  • Plan and execute category-specific promotional campaigns to drive sales and enhance market presence.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and adjust strategies as needed.
