noon, the region's leading consumer commerce platform. On December 12th, 2017, noon launched its consumer platform in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, expanding to Egypt in February 2019. The noon ecosystem of services now includes marketplaces for food delivery, quick-commerce, fintech, and fashion. noon is a work in progress; we’re six years in, but only 5% done.

What you'll do:


The Category Growth role is responsible for driving end-to-end growth of assigned categories on the e-commerce platform. This includes scaling revenue, expanding and retaining the customer base, improving the customer journey, and delivering impactful campaigns. The role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, customer experience, marketing, and product/design, with accountability for category performance and contribution to overall company growth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead a major category from an onsite marketing perspective to achieve its growth targets.
  • Tracking and analyzing customer needs based on customer behaviors including searching, browsing, and purchasing, identifying problems and opportunities, and responding accordingly.
  • Work closely with the digital marketing, CRM, and business analytics team to ensure we are optimizing call outs and using the strongest channels for the relevant categories.
  • Define and track key growth metrics (GMV, conversion, retention, repeat rate).
  • Use dashboards and insights to make data-driven decisions.
  • Work closely with buying/merchandising teams on assortment, pricing, and supplier strategy.
  • Ensure strong collaboration between commercial, design, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Define and execute category growth strategies aligned with company-wide objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities through assortment expansion, pricing, promotions, and merchandising.
  • Planning campaigns and analyzing data to optimize campaigns & divert traffic efficiently to achieve monthly GMV targets.
  • Optimize category's navigation / Pages and merchandise onsite for optimum conversion.
  • Constantly analyze category data and try various campaigns/ideas which will help conversion rate optimization for the categories.
  • Developing, testing/experimenting, and analyzing new tactics to increase conversion rates.
  • Benchmark across various companies/industries to stay up to date with technologies and customer acquisition/retention methods which can be used towards noon’s campaigns.
  • Drive overall customer experience & enhancement initiatives for relevant categories across the site.


What you'll need:


  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field.
  • 0-1 years of experience in Marketing or a related field.
  • Precise judgment and strong decision-making skills to enable the right actions for the category.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of presenting within senior forums.
  • Able to operate across and manage multiple roles/functions.
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and get your hands dirty when you’re needed to.
  • A creative and analytical mind that thrives in a data-driven environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability in working under high pressure, target oriented job profile with successful track record.
  • Customer obsession, always curious about what customers like and want.
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented, and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Arabic and English.
