This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day hybrid in-office schedule.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide P&L accountability for assigned category(s) that meet annual operating plan objectives and grow market share.

Maintain strategic oversight and ensuing tactics that deliver a differentiated and innovative outlook to the categories within your responsibilities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert that stays abreast of performance trends, competitors, and regional preferences, keeping the company at the forefront of the market with assortments and merchandising to maintain and build loyal customers alongside an aim toward new customer acquisition.

Build pricing and promotional strategies that are competitive, while delivering desired gross margin dollars.

Perform and leverage on-going analytics inclusive of test and learn which present data-driven decisions and improve company results.

Build strong supplier relationships to secure best pricing and promotional support inclusive of contract negotiation; partner with primary distributors and 3rd party vendors to ensure instocks to meet customer needs.

Collaborate with key business partners within Marketing support teams and across the business to ensure financial deliverables are met amongst our objectives.

Seek and monitor operational opportunities which enhance the companies’ bottom line and communicate with our operations team on action plans for improvements of processes, shrink, expense and labor savings
Role Requirements:-
This role is cell phone eligible and supports an 24/7 operation. Occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday work may be required to respond to urgent issues or service calls.
Qualifications: Education-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, Psychology, or Hospitality preferred; associate’s degree will also be considered.
Qualifications: Experience-
1+ years of experience in field.
- Experience in brand or category management preferred.

Experience managing P&L and generating demand preferred.

Strong analytical background and ability to discern, analyze, synthesize and utilize information from various sources.

Operational experience in retail a significant plus.

Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: $75,000-$85,000/year + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
