Position Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Category Manager to manage and grow assigned product categories across FMCG retail and e-commerce channels. The role involves developing category strategies, optimizing product assortment, driving sales through pricing and promotions, and ensuring consistent brand visibility both in-store and online.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Growth

Develop and implement category plans to achieve sales, margin, and market share targets across traditional retail and e-commerce platforms.

Conduct market research and analyze consumer insights, trends, and competitor activities.

Identify opportunities for product portfolio expansion, new launches, and seasonal campaigns.
Retail & E-Commerce Channel Management

Optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions for both offline (retail/distribution) and online (marketplaces, D2C platforms, e-retailers).

Coordinate with e-commerce teams to ensure accurate product listings, content, images, and digital merchandising.

Monitor online sales performance, traffic, and conversion to adjust strategies.

Ensure strong brand visibility at physical points of sale (POS) through planograms, displays, and activations.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management

Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, terms, and promotional support.

Manage relationships with key suppliers, distributors, and e-commerce partners.

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, sales, and finance teams to execute plans effectively.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track sales, profitability, and market share performance for assigned categories.

Monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock across retail outlets and online warehouses.

Provide regular reports with insights and recommendations to management.
Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA is a plus).

4 - 6 years of experience in category management, trade marketing, or product management in FMCG and/or e-commerce.

Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution models, retail operations, and online marketplaces.

Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ERP, retail management systems, and e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Amazon Seller Central) is an advantage.
