Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Category Sales Manager with deep expertise in vendor management, procurement, and fashion retail. The ideal candidate will lead the category’s commercial performance, ensuring the right product mix, pricing, vendor partnerships, and sales strategy to drive revenue and market share. This role requires strong business acumen, fashion sensibility, and hands-on experience working with suppliers and retail teams in Pakistan's fashion landscape.
Key Responsibilities: Category Sales & Strategy
- Develop and implement sales strategies for assigned fashion categories (e.g., apparel, footwear, accessories) aligned with business targets.
- Plan and manage seasonal and annual sales budgets, forecasts, and category targets.
- Analyze category performance to identify trends, growth opportunities, and gaps.
Vendor Management & Procurement
- Identify, assess, and onboard fashion vendors and manufacturers — both local and international.
- Build long-term supplier relationships to ensure consistent product availability, quality, and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate commercial terms including pricing, discounts, MOQs, and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely production and delivery aligned with sales calendars and promotional campaigns.
Merchandising & Product Assortment
- Work with buying and planning teams to ensure optimal product mix by store/channel.
- Monitor sell-through and manage stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Provide input on product development and seasonal assortments based on market feedback and sales insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with marketing teams to execute product launches, promotions, and campaigns.
- Collaborate with retail operations and e-commerce teams to drive online sales.
- Partner with finance and supply chain departments to manage pricing, cost control, and inventory planning.
Reporting & Analysis
- Track category sales KPIs (revenue, gross margin, sell-through, conversion, etc.)
- Provide weekly/monthly performance reports and actionable insights to leadership.
- Monitor market and competitor trends to inform future strategies.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Management, or Supply Chain. MBA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ecommerce category sales, procurement, or buying within the fashion retail industry in Pakistan.
- Having experience in working with big brands and fashion designers will be preferred
- Industry Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Pakistan’s fashion retail ecosystem (brands, vendors, consumer behavior)
- Experience managing both wholesale and retail channels is a plus
- Skills:
- Strong vendor negotiation and sourcing capabilities
- Excellent commercial and analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; ERP systems knowledge is a plus
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with data-driven decision-making
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with fashion retail chains, e-commerce, or multi-brand retail formats
- Understanding of production lead times, textile sourcing, and apparel quality standards
- Bilingual (Fluent in English and Urdu)
