Along with daily dining, we provide full-service catering for campus events, conferences, and receptions, serving groups of 20 to 2,000 with exceptional care and hospitality. Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Server/Bartender to serving and execution of events on an as-needed basis. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing event logistics from start to finish. Availability on both weekdays and weekends is required, depending on event schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide superior service to clients (including accurate knowledge of services provided, ingredients in dishes served, knowledge of wine and beverage service, etc.) at beverage reception, buffet meal or plated meal service.
- Control customer access at catered events including checking identification cards.
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of work areas, dining rooms, equipment and utensils, and furnishings used for catering.
- Establish and maintain positive relations with our customers.
- Listen, and if possible, resolve customers' needs and report them to the manager and/or supervisor.
- Interact enthusiastically and pleasantly with customers and co-workers to ensure a positive interaction and outcome in every interaction.
- Responsible for practicing good stewardship with university and customer resources.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant serving/bartender experience
- Customer service experience in a food service environment.
- Catering food service experience.
- Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others.
- Experience following directions related to job responsibilities.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and follow oral/written instructions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate and maintain restaurant food service equipment.
Work Schedule
- Part-time, event-based
- Hours will vary depending on scheduled events
- Must be available to work weekdays and weekends

Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout events or catering functions
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Serve food items efficiently while ensuring proper food handling and safety protocols are followed
- Buss tables promptly to maintain a clean and inviting dining area
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the culinary team in setting up buffet stations or event layouts
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, or concerns professionally and courteously
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, bar stations, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Support event setup and breakdown to ensure seamless service delivery from start to finish
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
