Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CCTV and security surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of IP and analog CCTV systems, networking basics, and hands-on field experience in security system deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission CCTV systems (IP, analog, and hybrid)
- Set up cameras, DVRs, NVRs, monitors, and related equipment
- Perform system testing, fault diagnosis, and troubleshooting
- Maintain and upgrade existing surveillance systems
- Configure network settings (IP addressing, port forwarding, VLAN basics)
- Ensure systems comply with safety, quality, and security standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Provide technical support and user training when required
- Prepare installation reports, service logs, and documentation
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams
- Ensure timely completion of projects and service calls
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field
- Proven experience as a CCTV Engineer or Security Systems Technician
- Strong knowledge of IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and cabling (UTP, fiber, coax)
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, routers, switches)
- Familiarity with access control and alarm systems is an advantage
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
Working Conditions
- Field-based role with on-site installations
- May involve working at heights or in confined spaces
- Occasional after-hours or emergency support
