Job Summary:

The CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of CCTV systems, access control, and related security systems. This role involves working with both analog and IP-based systems, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems (cameras, DVRs/NVRs, monitors, etc.).
• Run and terminate cables (coaxial, Cat5/Cat6, fiber optics) for CCTV and networking.
• Conduct site surveys and assist in designing camera layouts based on security needs.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faulty systems and equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance, testing, and firmware/software updates on surveillance systems.
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical, safety, and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and training to clients or end-users.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams for system integrations.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in CCTV and security systems.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or technical certification in electronics, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV systems (both analog and IP), NVRs/DVRs, cabling, and networking basics.
• Familiarity with tools used for testing and installing surveillance equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work at heights.
• Valid driver’s license (if travel to sites is required).
• Clean background check (if working in sensitive environments).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in low voltage systems, CCTV, or security systems (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, etc.).
• Experience with access control, alarms, or other integrated security systems.
• Basic networking and IP configuration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼1,500.00 - ﷼2,500.00 per month
