CCTV Technician & Surveillance Officer

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras and related equipment (e.g., recorders, monitors, servers) as per the company’s security requirements.

· Ensure all cameras are strategically placed for maximum coverage, with consideration to lighting, blind spots, and privacy regulations.

· Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance on all CCTV equipment to ensure smooth operation.

· Identify faults in CCTV systems and perform troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements of damaged components.

· Respond to any system malfunctions or failure and resolve issues in a timely manner.

· Monitor live surveillance feeds to ensure real-time surveillance and immediate action in case of suspicious activities.

· Record and store footage securely and ensure that footage retrieval is done efficiently when required for investigation.

· Maintain accurate logs of surveillance activities, system maintenance, and incidents.

· Assist in preparing periodic reports related to CCTV performance and security incidents for management.

· Ensure that all CCTV installations and maintenance activities comply with company policies and relevant local, national, and international regulations.

· Keep accurate records of all system installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks performed.

· Follow all safety and security protocols when working with surveillance equipment.

· Work closely with security personnel, IT department, and management to align CCTV systems with organizational secure.

Requirements and skills:

· Diploma or degree in Electronics, IT, or a related field.

· Certification in CCTV Surveillance Systems or related technical training is preferred.

· Strong knowledge of CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, video analytics, and related equipment.

· Familiarity with networking protocols and IP-based CCTV systems.

· Experience in CCTV system installation, configuration, and maintenance.

· Ability to communicate effectively with other teams and management.
