CDD Team Lead

Job Summary


As a CDD Team Lead within the AML Operations team, you will oversee customer due diligence (CDD) processes across corporate and retail clients. This may include onboarding, real-time payment name screening, ongoing name screening, and periodic reviews.


You will be responsible for managing a team to deliver high-quality, timely outcomes in line with regulatory standards and internal policies. The role requires strong leadership, flexibility in managing varied workflows, and exceptional attention to detail to safeguard against financial crime and Ops risks.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and develop a team of CDD analysts, ensuring SLA and quality standards are consistently met.


  • Oversee end-to-end CDD processes, including onboarding, real-time and ongoing name screening, and periodic reviews for both corporate and retail clients.


  • Support review and resolution of complex cases, and risk assessments, including sanctions, PEP, and adverse media alerts.


  • Ensure accurate and timely case handling, with proper documentation and audit readiness.
  • Meeting regulatory standards and internal policies by ensuring SOPs are updated, workflows are optimised, and by supporting system enhancements.


  • Collaborate with Compliance, Business, and Technology teams to resolve issues, and provide subject matter expertise.


  • Assisting with other tasks as required.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field.


  • 6+ years of experience in CDD operations for both corporate and retail, including 2+ years in a leadership role.


  • Strong knowledge of global AML/CFT regulations, customer due diligence, and screening requirements.


  • Proven ability to meet SLA, quality, and productivity targets.


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with strong attention to detail and adaptability.
