Overview
We are seeking a Certified Early Childhood Teacher to join our North Miami team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early learning and has experience (or strong interest) in working with students with special needs, including developmental delays, autism, medical complexities, or individualized learning plans.
This role involves delivering developmentally appropriate instruction in a small-group and individualized setting, with collaboration among therapists, families, and school leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction aligned to early childhood standards
- Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with diverse learning profiles
- Support students with special needs using differentiated and inclusive practices
- Implement individualized learning goals and document student progress
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and school administrators
- Maintain accurate attendance, lesson plans, and progress documentation
- Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
Required Qualifications
- Florida Teaching Certification in Early Childhood Education (or PreK–Primary)
- Experience teaching young children (PreK–K)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners
Preferred / Ideal Experience
- Experience working with students with special needs (ESE, ASD, developmental delays)
- Familiarity with IEPs, learning plans, or individualized instruction
- Experience in small-group, special skills, or inclusive classroom settings
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and developmentally appropriate practices
- Experience collaborating with therapists or support staff (OT, ST, ABA is a plus)
Schedule & Location
- Position based in North Miami, FL
- Schedule may be school-day hours with flexibility depending on student needs
- No large class sizes; focus on quality, not quantity
