Description:
Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our Head & Neck Surgery team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced surgical specialty environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in both clinical and administrative functions, with a strong understanding of ENT and head & neck procedures.
Clinical Duties:

Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and minor in-office surgeries

Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints

Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including biopsies and laryngoscopy

Perform EKGs, injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection as needed

Clean, sterilize, and maintain exam rooms and surgical instruments

Provide patient education on post-procedure care, medications, and treatment plans
Administrative Duties:

Accurately document patient information in the EMR system

Coordinate referrals, imaging, and lab orders

Assist with prior authorizations and insurance verification as needed

Manage patient flow to ensure efficiency and minimize wait times

Schedule follow-up appointments and procedures
Requirements:

Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant diploma required

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting (ENT or surgical specialty preferred)

Knowledge of head & neck anatomy, procedures, and terminology is a plus

Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Experience assisting with ENT or head & neck surgical procedures

Familiarity with prior authorizations and insurance processes

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Ability to stand for extended periods
