Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support across various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital medicine units, and emergency care environments. Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks like medication administration, wound dressing changes, and basic X-ray procedures.
  • Support patient service efforts by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring a clean environment compliant with safety standards.
  • Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters accurately and update medical records in real-time.
  • Conduct ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding for diagnoses to facilitate billing and insurance processing.
  • Assist in specialized areas such as dermatology clinics or inpatient units like PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics wards, or Level I Trauma Centers.
  • Support hospital medicine teams with documentation of patient care activities and ensure seamless communication between departments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist with patient assessments and procedural support in urgent care or emergency medicine settings.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or hospital environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital experience including Level II trauma centers or Level I trauma centers enhances your application.
  • Prior involvement in medical-surgical units or internal medicine practices is highly valued.
  • Experience supporting inpatient care teams or outpatient services across diverse specialties such as geriatrics, dermatology, or emergency medicine is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding procedures, and basic life support (BLS) certification are required to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems and proficiency in performing intake assessments, vital signs collection, and medication administration are essential skills for success in this role. Pay: $28.00 - $32.80 per hour
