Certified Medical Assistant

Northern Berkshire Pediatrics, LLP., an experienced, dedicated and family-focused pediatric practice, is seeking medical assistant candidates to join our clinical team. Northern Berkshire Pediatrics is a Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Children’s (PPOC) affiliated primary care practice.

The successful candidate will become an integrated member of our Clinical team. This individual will be responsible for assisting the physicians and nurse practitioners with administrative and clinical aspects of medical care for children including (but not limited to):

  • Escort patients to exam rooms
  • Take and record vital signs, length, height & weight
  • Perform vision and hearing tests
  • Enter true and accurate documentation into patient charts using EMR system
  • Daily review and management of assigned provider's schedule
  • Preparation of vaccines for administration
  • Preform capillary blood draws
  • Cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms between visits
  • Providing assistance to providers during visits as needed

This individual will also occasionally cover other roles within the practice such as front desk and phones as needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience working in a relevant role
  • Familiar with medical terminology

Current schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30a - 5:00p.

Weekend rotation and one late night (6pm) per week will be added after training is completed.
