Certified Medical Assistant/ Supervisor

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow and high standards of care
• Perform medical assisting duties including taking vital signs, patient intake, administering medications, phlebotomy, and basic X-ray procedures
• Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans
• Support patient service activities such as scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and providing compassionate assistance throughout the visit
• Oversee clinical staff performance, provide training on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, pharmacology, and EMR/EHR management
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS), infection control standards, and hospital or clinic-specific procedures
• Maintain detailed medical records and documentation for inpatient and outpatient cases across various specialties including internal medicine, geriatrics, surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma centers

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program with current BLS certification
• Proven experience in medical office settings with expertise in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine or emergency medicine environments
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and ICD coding practices
• Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools
• Demonstrated ability to perform phlebotomy, medication administration, X-ray procedures, vital signs assessment and intake procedures
• Inpatient experience or Level I/II trauma center exposure is highly desirable; outpatient clinic experience is essential
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and professionalism
• Ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Pay: $44.33 - $59.30 per hour
