New South Medical is an interventional spine practice with multiple locations in the Metro Atlanta Area. Our practice is dedicated to evaluating and treating acute pain associated with soft tissue injuries. We are professional, challenging and collaborative.

This is a full time, floating position at our Atlanta, GA offices.

SUMMARY

As a medical assistant, one must be able to effectively triage patients in a timely manner and perform clinical duties under the supervision of a licensed provider. We are seeking motivated individuals who show great communication skills and must be able to multitask as we are a fast-paced practice.

Travel to other local clinics is a job requirement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Triage patients to be seen by providers which include, but are not limited to: rooming patients, taking vitals, merging patient charts and communicating directly with patients
• Documenting basic medical history
• Assist providers in exam rooms
• Assist in preparing patients for procedures
• Assist with preparing procedure rooms
• Assist providers with procedures such as injections and use of diagnostic radiology equipment
• Call in prescriptions or place orders, as needed
• Assist with sterilizing medical instruments, as needed
• Effectively process messages between patients and administration or other medical offices
• Report to office manager and/or practice administrator
• Actively participate in training

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be willing to travel to other locations
• Detail-oriented, punctual, professional
• Willingness to cross-train on all other clinical responsibilities
• Team oriented
• Experience using eClinicalWorks preferred
• 1 year clinical experience preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
