Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments, including collecting vital signs and reviewing patient histories using EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems
  • Monitor patients remotely by reviewing vital signs, medication adherence, and symptom reports via telehealth platforms
  • Assist with procedures such as X-ray preparation, medication administration, and basic life support in outpatient or inpatient settings
  • Support patient care by providing education on health management, medication usage, and lifestyle modifications tailored to specialties like geriatrics or internal medicine
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in EHR systems, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams in hospital environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers to coordinate care plans and follow-up actions
  • Perform clinical tasks like taking vital signs, managing intake processes, and assisting with emergency responses when necessary

Experience

  • Proven experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings, particularly within dermatology, emergency medicine, or medical-surgical units
  • Familiarity with hospital environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) is highly desirable
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medical terminology essential for accurate documentation and patient assessment
  • Prior involvement in urgent care or hospital medicine roles demonstrating ability to handle fast-paced environments
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications related to emergency or trauma care are a plus
  • Experience with X-ray procedures or OR (Operating Room) support is advantageous for comprehensive clinical support roles
