Certified Nursing Assistant / Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
  • Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.
  • Support medical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with medical documentation, and ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
  • Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques to ensure safety and dignity.
  • Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks such as catheter care, wound dressing changes, and phlebotomy under supervision when qualified.
  • Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in accordance with hospital or facility standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Experience in various healthcare settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), emergency medicine, post-acute care, hospice care, or outpatient clinics.
  • Skilled in patient service activities including medication administration and basic life support certification.
  • Ability to work effectively within high-pressure environments like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Compassionate caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to work with patients of all ages—including children—and collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams.
