About the Role
We’re seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Certified Non‑Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys hands‑on formulation work, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a clean, organized, and patient‑focused environment. You’ll prepare customized non‑sterile medications following strict quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare non‑sterile compounded medications including capsules, suspensions, creams, ointments, gels, solutions, and other customized formulations.
- Follow compounding formulas and master worksheets with precision to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients using proper equipment and calibrated instruments.
- Maintain a clean and compliant compounding environment in accordance with USP <795> and company SOPs.
- Document all compounding activities including lot numbers, beyond‑use dates, and preparation steps.
- Assist with inventory management including ordering, receiving, labeling, and organizing raw materials and supplies.
- Perform equipment cleaning and maintenance to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve formulation questions, clarify prescriptions, and support workflow.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Proficiency making capsules highly preferred.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential through PTCB or NHA.
- State pharmacy technician license/registration in good standing.
- Experience in non‑sterile compounding preferred; training available for the right candidate.
- Strong math and measurement skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Familiarity with USP <795> standards and general compounding best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks safely.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
