Certified Public Accountant

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis to support our organization’s financial health and strategic growth. As a CPA, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with applicable laws, and providing insightful financial guidance across various departments. Duties

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliations including general ledger, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining meticulous records
  • Perform complex financial analysis, including cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Oversee compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls, internal audits, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Assist with tax preparation, planning, and filing processes, including experience with projects and other tax credits
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and ensuring audit readiness at all times
  • Mentor junior staff members by providing guidance on technical accounting issues such as securities law, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices
  • Utilize advanced accounting software such as Quick Books, or similar platforms for efficient financial management.
  • Conduct detailed journal entries, ledger postings, and double-entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP accounting standards combined with strong technical accounting skills
  • Proven experience with SOX compliance procedures and internal control assessments
  • Proficiency in financial software including Quick Books, or equivalent systems
  • Strong understanding of securities law as it relates to financial reporting and compliance requirements
  • Ability to interpret complex financial concepts and prepare comprehensive financial reports for diverse audiences
  • Expertise in account reconciliation techniques such as bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation
  • Excellent skills in financial report writing, analysis of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling; experience with other tools like Quicken is a plus.

Pay: $62,068.24 - $74,748.84 per year
