<Job Summary>

<Responsibilities>
- Prepare, review, and analyze complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently while maintaining strict compliance with internal controls and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements.
- Perform comprehensive financial report writing and interpretation to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
- Oversee the preparation of tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, including experience with tax experience related to non-profit accounting or corporate finance.
- Execute audits and internal controls assessments, including SOX compliance audits, to safeguard organizational assets.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities using advanced financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Assist in regulatory reporting obligations and ensure adherence to securities law where applicable.
- Mentor junior team members by providing guidance on technical accounting issues such as accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account analysis.
<Skills>
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SEC regulations, and securities law fundamentals.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft or equivalent systems; familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) is a plus.
- Expertise in technical accounting areas such as financial statement preparation, financial report interpretation, cash flow analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Experience with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts like debits & credits, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliation processes.
- Ability to perform detailed financial analysis including forecasting and budgeting to support strategic initiatives.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation; experience with other financial software tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks such as SOX compliance procedures; mentoring skills for developing team capabilities are highly valued.

Pay: $80.73 - $109.05 per hour
