Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Conduct audits and internal controls reviews, compliance assessments, to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Manage tax planning, preparation, and filing processes, including experience with tax accounting and estate planning strategies.
- Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
- Support mergers & acquisitions activities through financial due diligence, analysis of securities law implications, and integration planning.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and other financial software tools for bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial report writing.
- Assist with budgeting, asset management, non-profit accounting, and regulatory reporting tasks to ensure organizational compliance and efficiency.
- Analyze financial concepts related to private equity investments, investment strategies, or financial services to provide actionable insights.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports that interpret complex data for stakeholders while maintaining clarity in financial report writing.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and technical accounting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other relevant tools for bookkeeping and financial management.
- Strong understanding of tax experience including tax planning strategies for individuals or organizations.
- Familiarity with securities law regulations relevant to investment activities or corporate compliance.
- Experience in auditing procedures along with analysis skills necessary for account analysis and account reconciliation.
- Ability to interpret financial statements accurately through analysis skills and financial report interpretation expertise.
- Knowledge of estate planning laws such as wills & trusts & estate law to advise clients on succession strategies.
- Competence in budgeting processes, asset management techniques, and non-profit accounting practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective financial report writing and presentation of complex concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation efficiently while maintaining high accuracy standards.
